A tour of Tamborine Mountain Coffee Plantation is first on this morning’s agenda. But not before a breakfast at their on-site cafe, prepared with divine local produce – and locally roasted coffee of course!
Wander through leafy columns of coffee trees while your guide describes how these magic beans are grown and produced on this thriving micro-lot coffee plantation.
Meander through Tamborine Mountain’s beautiful backroads by car. Fill your picnic basket as you stop at roadside stalls bursting with farm-grown fruit, vegetables, and fresh flowers. The local ‘honour system’ lets you pop payment into little money boxes as you gather lunch ingredients.
It doesn’t get more local than this, and it’s a fantastic way to shop!
A picnic spot perched at the top of the western escarpment, at ‘Hangliders Hill’ you can watch paragliders launch into the valley below.
Take a seat on the grass and watch these graceful pilots soar above spectacular views of the Great Dividing Range.
Pop into award-winning Tamborine Mountain Distillery to sample artisinal, multi-distilled spirits including liqueurs, gins, vodkas, rums and schnapps. With 90 flavours on offer, from Apricot to Yuzucello, you might need to visit the tasting room a few times to decide on your favourite tipple.
Then, head to Cauldron Distillery for live music and lawn games and sample their locally-produced ‘Five to Five’ gin range. Wander through vineyards, take a gin-making class, or take a seat at the prohibition era-inspired bar with a delicious seasonal cocktail.

Take the plunge into glorious Tamborine National Park on the exhilarating Canyon Flyer Guided Zipline Tour and TreeTop Challenge high ropes course at Thunderbird Park. Seven huge ziplines traversing Cedar Creek Canyon will have you flying like birds above the treetop canopies on an adventure that will make your hearts soar.
For those who prefer to keep their feet on the ground, spectacular Cedar Creek Falls, a leisurely ten-minute walk from Thunderbird Park, will inspire you to breathe in eucalyptus forest and perhaps take a dip in crystal-clear rock pools.
